CONGRATULATIONS

The Revd Mr Andrew Scurr receiving his Litterae Ordinationis
for Tonsure from His Excellency Bishop Dennis Beevers OSJV
During Pontifical Mass on the Feast of the Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary, His Excellency Bishop Dennis Beevers OSJV tonsured and admitted into the Clerical state, seminarian Mr Andrew Scurr of London (ORCCE South East).
Mr Scurr had successfully completed the Pre-formation Course and had been discerning his vocation with the ORCCE for a period of eighteen months prior to the final recommendation to the Bishop by the Examining Chaplains. The event was preceded by a Formation Retreat led by Canons Jerome Lloyd OSJV (ORCCE South East) and Glenn Fleurinck OSJV (ORCCE Belgium) who share responsibility for Formation for the Diocese. Mr Scurr had previously been a seminarian at the Venerable English College, Rome and is a former novice of the Brompton Oratory. It is expected that Mr Scurr will be Ordained Deacon at Candlemass 2013. Mr Scurr will now act as Pastoral Assistant for the ORCCE South East Mission and will be working with the Administrator, Canon Lloyd OSJV whilst continuing his seminarial formation.

Saturday 20th: Mass will be offered privately
Sunday 21st: Parish Mass 1230pm - Holy Communion will be administered by Br Peter, Pastoral Assistant, at "Domus Ecclesia" from the Tabernacle; Mass will be broadcast from the Mother House of the Oratory of St John Vianney by Fr Emilio Tundidor OSJV but broadcast on the usual weblink [here] (those attending "Domus Ecclesia" will be able to view the Mass live and receive Holy Communion at the usual point in the Mass)
Monday 22nd: No Mass: Lenten Reflection as usual at Dorset Gardens Methodist Church, but led by the Revd Nik Wooler from 7.30pm
Tuesday 23rd: Mass at 6pm at "Domus Ecclesia"
Wednesday 24th: Mass will resume to normal time 10am
Canon Lloyd will be unavailable from Sat 20th through Tuesday 23rd, in an emergency i.e. to receive Viaticum (Last Rites) please contact Br Peter (details on the Clergy page). All emails and answerphone messages will be replied to from Wednesday 24th.
